SENATORS POWER PAST CRUNCH

The Binghamton Senators scored four power-play goals and added one short-handed marker on their way to a 5-2 victory over the Syracuse Crunch on Tuesday night. The B-Sens have won four straight against I-81 rival Syracuse.
Defenseman Tomas Kudelka scored a career-high two goals for Binghamton to lead the way. Captain Denis Hamel notched the game-winning goal, his ninth marker of the season. 
Greg Mauldin tallied the short-handed marker for Binghamton. Derek and Zack Smith each accounted for two assists. Center Peter Regin chipped in a two-point night (1+1).
Netminder Brian Elliott stopped 23 shots to earn his 17th win for Binghamton. 
The two clubs combined for six power-play goals on the night. 
Binghamton returns to home ice on Wednesday night to host the Albany River Rats 6:05 p.m. in their traditional New Year’s Eve contest. Good seats remain for this contest. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling ticket master at 722-7272, or at the Arena box office inside the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
