GLASS UNBREAKABLE AGAINST PENGUINS

Netminder Jeff Glass turned away 42 of 43 shots to lead the Binghamton Senators past the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday night in a key divisional contest at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
Neither team could find the net in the opening period with the B-Sens putting just three shots on net.
Right-winger Jeremy Yablonski broke the scoreless tie at 9:00 of the middle period with his first marker of the season. Line mates Chaz Johnson and Jim McKenzie assist on the tally. 
Zack Smith netted the eventual game-winning goal early in the third period off a feed from newcomer Jarrett Konkle. The goal was Smith’s 18th of the season, and the assist game Konkle his first career AHL point.
The Penguins spoiled the shutout attempt with a late goal from Janne Pesonen to make it a 2-1 final. 
The B-Sens (33-23-5-3, 74 pts.) now have a six-point advantage over Philadelphia for the fourth and final playoff spot in the East Division.
