HERSHEY, P.A. – For the Binghamton Senators and Hershey Bears, the home team has emerged victorious in each game the two teams have faced each other so far in the 2009-10 hockey season. The Bears broke the mold Saturday night as they defeated the B-Sens 5-3 in front of 10,506 fans at the Giant Center.

In his first game back in the line up since Dec. 12, Cody Bass recorded a goal and an assist in Binghamton’s losing effort. Zack Smith and Martin St. Pierre also recorded goals for the B-Sens.

Hershey’s Keith Aucoin proved to be troublesome for the Senators registering a goal and two assists for three points in the game.

Braden Holtby tended goal for the Bears stopping 31 of 34 shots faced, while his counter part Chris Holt didn’t fair quite as well, stopping only 24 of 28 shots on the Binghamton net.

Up next, the B-Sens kick off a weekend of three games in three nights as they host the Atlantic Division’s Portland Pirates on Friday, Jan. 8.
