B-SENS CRUISE PAST PHANTOMS

The Binghamton Senators notched their third win in four games this season with a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Saturday night at the Wachovia Spectrum. 
                             
Netminder Jeff Glass made his first appearance of the 2008-09 season, stopping 24 of 25 shots in net for Binghamton. Also making his first appearance of the season, center Alexander Nikulin buried the B-Sens first goal of the night. Tomas Kudelka and Jeremy Yablonski assisted.
 
The Phantoms tied the game at 1 with a marker from Darroll Powe early in the final period. 
 
Rookie Zack Smith responded for the B-Sens, notching his third goal in as many games and giving the B-Sens a 2-1 advantage. Cody Bass and Ryan Shannon assisted on the eventual game winner.
 
Defenseman Brendan Bell finished off the scoring for Binghamton, slipping the puck past netminder Scott Munroe for his first tally of the season. Josh Hennessy and Shawn Weller assisted on the goal.
 
The B-Sens head to Albany on Wednesday to take on the River Rats at 7 p.m.
