B-SENS TAKE THIRD STRAIGHT WIN WITH 3-2 TALLY OVER ALBANY

03/22/2010 7:38 AM - ALBANY, N.Y. - Defenseman Geoff Kinrade’s power play goal snapped a 2-2 tie 8:16 into the third period, and Binghamton held on for a 3-2 road win over Albany at the Times Union Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Senators earned their third straight win, moved to 9-2-1-0 in their last 12 contest, and currently sit eight points back of Bridgeport for the East Division’s final playoff spot.

Josh Hennessy and captain Denis Hamel (1-1-2) also scored for the Senators, who grabbed leads of 1-0 and 2-1 only to watch Albany tie it on both occasions.

Binghamton goaltender Chris Holt stopped 24 of 26 shots in the winning effort.

Jerome Samson and Mike Angelidis tallied goals for the River Rats, the latter coming shorthanded. Albany has now dropped three straight games for the first time since Jan. 30 to Feb. 5.
