BEARS THUMP B-SENS 8-3

- Andrew Gordon and Brian Willsie each scored as part of a six-goal opening period for Hershey, and the Bears cruised to an 8-3 win over visiting Binghamton on Sunday before 7,555 fans at the Giant Center.

Gordon and Willsie each finished with two goals and two assists on the night, and Kyle Greentree also registered a pair of assists in the victory. Steve Pinizzotto and defenseman Lawrence Nycholat (1-1-2) rounded out Hershey’s offense.

Gordon put Hershey on top 1:10 into the contest, and then he, Willsie, and Pinizzotto scored three goals in a span of 1:50 to give Hershey a 4-0 edge and send them on their way to the rout.

Bears forward Mathieu Perreault picked up a remarkable six assists to set an AHL season high for points in a game, and Hershey goaltender Semyon Varlamov stopped 21 shots to earn the win in his AHL season debut.

Hershey, which established a season high for goals in a game, improved to 7-3-0-0 in its last 10 games.

Jim O’Brien, Zack Smith, and Derek Smith all scored for the Senators, who fell to 1-3-0-0 in their last four contests.
