The Binghamton Senators stormed back against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday night, scoring three goals in a four minute span before falling in the final minute for their second straight loss to Bridgeport.

Second-year winger Ilya Zubov sparked the comeback with two goals in the third period while adding an assist on Ryan Shannon’s game-tying marker at 10:45 of the final stanza.

Defenseman Jack Hillen scored the game-winning goal for Bridgeport, his second of the night, with just 10 seconds remaining in regulation. While it appeared the puck never crossed the goal line, Hillen was credited with the marker to clinch the weekend sweep for Bridgeport.

Rookie Karpars Daugavins buried his first goal of the season for the B-Sens, while Shannon and Brendan Bell each extended their point streaks to six games. Shawn Weller tallied as well for Binghamton.

The B-Sens found themselves down three goals at two different points of the game; Bridgeport held a 3-0 advantage in the early stages of the second period and a 5-2 lead in the opening minutes of the third period.

Binghamton fought off seven of nine Bridgeport power plays, with one of those tally’s coming with a 5-on-3 advantage.

Netminder Jeff Glass made 31 saves for the B-Sens.
