The Binghamton Senators ended the Norfolk Admirals 19-game home winning streak Friday night with a 4-3 victory at the Scope Arena.
 
Mike Hoffman, Hugh Jessiman, Andre Petersson and Patrick Wiercioch each tallied goals for the B-Sens. 
 
Emerson Etem scored two goals of the three goals for the home standing Admirals. Also earning two points in the game were Luca Caputi and Sami Vatanen, as each ending the night with a pair of helpers. 
 
Binghamton goaltender Robin Lehner allowed three goals and made 28 saves to earn his fourth win of the season. Norfolk’s Igor Bobkov made 33 saves. .
 
Saturday, Oct. 3: Binghamton 2, Norfolk 4
Shots: Binghamton 42, Norfolk 44
PP: Binghamton 0 for 3, Norfolk 0 for 4  
 
The B-Sens fell to the Norfolk Admirals 4-2 Saturday night at the Scope Arena to split the weekend series.
 
Both B-Sens goals came from defensemen. The captain, Andre Benoit and Patrick Wiercioch each tallied goals. For Wiercioch it was his second goal in as many games. 
 
Peter Holland had a big night for the Admirals, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Kyle Palmieri also had a three point night, scoring a goal and a pair of assists.  
 
Frederik Andersen earned the win in net for Norfolk with a total of 40 total saves on the night. Ben Bishop earned the nod in goal for Binghamton, also turning aside 40 shots. 
 
Wednesday, Nov. 7: Binghamton 0, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 1 - Shootout
 Shots: Binghamton 32, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 35
PP: Binghamton 0 for 7, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0 for 8
 
The B-Sens concluded a stretch of six road games with a stop at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza where they fell to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 1-0, in a shootout. 
 
Following a scoreless regulation and overtime, the teams traded goals in the first four rounds of the shootout. 
Mika Zibanejad and Andre Petersson capitalized on Binghamton’s attempts in the second and fourth rounds respectively. Paul Thompson and Trevor Smith found a way to beat B-Sens netminder Robin Lehner in the first and third rounds. 
Tom Kuhnhackl scored in the eighth round to give his team a 3-2 edge and seal the victory for the Pens.
Lehner earned second star honors with a 34 save performance through regulation and overtime and went five-for-eight in the shootout. Wilkes-Barre’s Jeff Zatkoff ended the night with a total of 32 saves and went six-for-eight in the shootout. 
Record:4-4-1-1
 
Standings:The B-Sens are tied with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for third place in the East Division (10 points).
 
THIS WEEK…
 
Saturday, Nov. 10 vs. Norfolk Admirals (Anaheim Ducks) – 7:05 p.m.
 
After splitting back-to-back games with the Norfolk Admirals last weekend, the B-Sens welcome the East Division rivals to the Broome County Veterans Memorial for the first time of the season this Saturday. The game will be the third of eight total meetings between the two teams this season. 
 
The Admirals enter the week with a record of 6-3-0-0 and are second place overall in the East Division with 12 points.
 
Forwards Peter Holland (5+6=11) and Kyle Palmieri (4+7=11) are tied for the team lead in points. In their first two games against the B-Sens, Holland scored three goals and added an assist. Palmieri put up one goal and three assists.   
 
Promotions: Saturday is Veterans and Military Appreciation Night, presented by Lockheed Martin. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive mini American flags courtesy of the U.S. Army recruitment office in Vestal and B-Sens will be wearing special patriotic jerseys which will be auctioned off post-game.
 
Also on Saturday active duty military service members and military veterans a complimentary ticket to their game, courtesy of Lockheed Martin, as a thank you for their service to our nation. 
 
To receive the ticket, service members must present a valid military or veterans I.D. at the Binghamton Senators’ executive office, located on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. There will be one free ticket per military or veterans I.D. The offer is not valid at the arena box office.
 
SENS SNIPPETS…
 
Defenseman Chris Wideman made his American Hockey League debut in Binghamton’s 4-3 victory over the Norfolk Admirals last Friday.   
 
Forward Shane Prince made his professional debut in Binghamton’s 4-3 victory over the Norfolk Admirals last Friday. Prince recorded his first professional point, an assist, in the team’s 4-2 loss to the Admirals the following night. 
 
B-SENS BRINGING IT HOME TO THE COMMUNITY…
 
The B-Sens will be holding a supply drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy on Saturday, Nov. 10 as they host the Norfolk Admirals. 
 
B-Sens forwards Pat Cannone, Hugh Jessiman and B-Sens equipment manager Tom Severence have arranged the drive which will benefit two of the hardest hit areas in New York; Long Beach and Staten Island. Cannone and Jessiman are Bayport, N.Y. and New York natives respectively. Severance lived in Wantagh, N.Y., near Long Beach, from 1996 to 1998.

There will also be a raffle for Ben Bishop and Robin Lehner game-used sticks autographed by the entire 2012-13 Binghamton Senators squad. Proceeds from the raffle will help cover the transportation costs associated with delivering the items collected. 
 
Fans are encouraged to donate, in any amount large or small, at the “Hurricane Sandy Relief” table located on the main concourse of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
