BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have renewed their broadcast agreements with Clear Channel Radio and My8 Television as members of the Senators Broadcast Network for the upcoming 2009-10 season.
680-WINR will serve as the radio flagship of the Senators Broadcast Network in airing all regular season and playoff contests with 1430 The Team airing all games not conflicting with New York Yankees baseball. This season will mark the seventh year that Clear Channel Radio has been the home of Senators hockey.
The broadcast schedule begins with pre-season action Sunday, Sept. 20 in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton beginning at 4:55 p.m. and Friday against Syracuse at 6:55 p.m. Both games will air on 680-WINR and on-line at www.bsens.com.
“With the two strongest AM signals in the market airing our games, our continuing relationship with Clear Channel affords Sens fans with outstanding local over-the-air coverage to follow the team’s fortunes,” said Grady Whittenburg, the Senators director of broadcasting. “Combined with the marketing element of our agreement and the ability to reach the Southern Tier through their six-station group, it’s a valuable relationship that has only gotten better over time.”
Whittenburg will serve as the play-by-play voice of the Senators for all radio and television broadcasts. Entering his 26th year in broadcasting, Whittenburg has been the Voice of the Senators for six of the club’s seven previous campaigns. In addition to his play-by-play duties, Whittenburg will produce “Sens Game Day”, a preview of every Senators game that will air at 3 p.m. each game day on 1430 The Team. “Sens Rewind”, a 60-second highlight montage, will air each morning following a Senators game at 7:45 a.m. on 92.5 KGB-FM.

Clear Channel also affords the Senators to reach fans outside the listening area with on-line broadcasts that can be found on www.1430theteam.com and www.1075thebear.com. Fans can also access the audio webcasts at the Senators’ official web site at www.bsens.com.
The club also announced its eight-game television schedule which will air once again on My8 Television. Seven different opponents, including five from the highly competitive East Division, will be featured with the complete schedule below:
