BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today that for their final regular season home game for the 2009-10 season Saturday, April 10 versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins that they will host a series of events at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
Beginning at 4 p.m. that day, the B-Sens will host the 2010 Broome County High School Hockey Association All-Star game. The rosters are comprised of students from Binghamton, Chenango Forks, Chenango Valley, Johnson City, Maine-Endwell, Seton Central Catholic, Union-Endicott and Vestal high schools. Fans must have a ticket to that evening’s home game in order to attend the All-Star game.
The Southern Tier chapter of the United Way will host “Live United” with the B-Sens that evening as they raffle off a series of prizes, including a laptop computer courtesy of Best Buy! Fans purchasing raffle tickets at the United Way table on the arena concourse or those making a donation will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of the Southern Tier chapter of the United Way and the Binghamton Senators.
Saturday is also Fan Appreciation night! The Binghamton Senators will have a table filled with B-Sens gear on the course where fans in attendance will have the opportunity to choose a free gift of their choice (while supplies last) as a thank you for their support throughout the 2009-10 American Hockey League season.
The 2009-10 player awards will also be presented in a special on-ice ceremony post-game.
That evening’s B-Sens game is also part of the Broome County Sports Day Downtown Double Header. The Binghamton Mets will be on hand following their afternoon game versus Akron to meet with B-Sens fans and sign autographs.
Doors for the B-Sens game open at 6 p.m. Face-off is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating. Fans can purchase tickets at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or in person at the Binghamton Senators’ executive office or the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena box office.
Tickets for United Way volunteers for the Southern Tier, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton chapters are only $10 and can be purchased by contacting Nate Newborn at 607-722-7367.
Fans interested in purchasing a special ticket package that includes a ticket to the Mets game versus the Akron Aeros at 1:05 p.m. Saturday and a ticket to that evening’s B-Sens game for just $15 can visit the B-Sens executive offices on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena or the B-Mets box office at NYSEG Stadium (211 Henry St., Binghamton).
