BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today that Friday, March 25 they will recognize 2011 Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame inductees Chris Grenville, Corey Hirsch and John Paddock.

Grenville, Hirsch and Paddock will be formally inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame in an ice-level ceremony at 7 p.m., just prior to the B-Sens game versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Grenville spent five seasons with the B.C. Icemen (1997-2002).  The St. Catharine’s, Ont. native recorded 160 goals and 146 assists for 306 points in 280 career games with the Icemen.  Grenville set a single season Icemen record for goals (52) and points (109) during the 2000-01 campaign.  During his 12-year professional career, Grenville tallied 703 points total (364 goals, 339 assists) in 676 regular season games played in six different leagues.

Hirsch tended goal for the Binghamton Rangers over the course of three seasons (1992-1995).  In 113 regular season games with the Rangers the Medicine Hat, Alt. native posted a 71-28-11 record with 2.99 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage.  In the 1992-93 season, his first as professional, Hirsch won the Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award as the American Hockey League’s top goaltender, the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL’s top rookie and the Harry “Hap” Holmes Memorial Award for the lowest goals-against average (2.79, shared with teammate Boris Rousson). Paddock’s career American Hockey League coaching record of 585-424-98 places him third on the AHL’s all-time list of coaching wins and games coached (1,107). He has never missed the postseason in 14 tries as an AHL head coach, and his 82 playoff wins and 149 playoff games coached both stand as league records.  Paddock currently serves as assistant General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers.
